Finally went 9.83@140 w/1.40 60ft

Finally made the 9 second club on Friday at Gateway Motor Sports Park in St Louis. The very first pass I went 9.83@140 w/1.40 60 ft. My best 1/8 miles alto 6.33@112. I had another 9.92@140.88, didn't get a good burn out and spun and shook the tires w/1.49 60 ft. Going back this morning to try and get into the 9.70s. Temps were around 68 degrees and DA was just above 500 so not bad conditions at all. This morning its going to be in the round 60 but DA might be higher with rain moving in around noon. I'll update later today if I improve my time.

Congratulations, Greg! Looks like you finally got the new motor dialed in. Hope u can crack that 9.70 mark on this outing! Are u on drag radials or back on your Hoosiers?

Congrats on getting into the 9s. Nice 60', you still doing flat foot off idle?

Nice!

I’m pretty sure I can run low 9.70. Just waiting out the rain right now. If we still have tail wind and stays cool I might run in 60s

Awesome job Greg. Did you make the 15" switch?

laynlo15 04-27-2019 05:02 PM

Stayed with 17s, not running good today. Driver error and slowed down. Won’t get another 1/4 pass today

Bam! Representing. I wish I had been in town to come watch. That means Maggie has 4 out of the top 6 spots on the fast list. This is gonna be a fun summer. Keep it going!

Well the 9.70s didn't happen and that may have been my only chance for a while. I should have run that on Friday but the old fart in me messed up the burn out and ran the 9.92, the air was still good but with such a bad 60 ft as it spun, shook and wheel hopped it just didn't happen. Had a great time but Saturday was a totally different day, ran much slower all day as the DA was almost 3000 and temps were in the low 70 to upper 70s with a tail wind but that did help me. Didn't even break into the 9s as I messed up again after not getting the best of burn outs again. I thought it was going to spin on the launch so I lifted just a little and back in it and of course it didn't spin but just ran 10.08@138. I just need a little more time with these drag radials. I never had problems with Hoosier Slicks and they just hooked every time so I'll get it figured out next time out which is just a few weeks away again. We'll work on the tune a little more and maybe get lucky with decent weather at that event.
