Greatest of all time (GOAT NFL)
Each major position I'll rate mine and you guys agree / disagree.
I wont give my reasoning as to why I chose each... yet. I want to start it off with who I think, and whether you agree or not and then we can discuss. Everyone here listed I feel is self explanatory if you've ever followed football, and then the health discussion comes in if you disagree. I want to see what people think!! QB - Tom Brady RB - Barry Sanders WR- Jerry Rice TE - Tony Gonzalez LB - Lawrence Taylor CB/DB - Deion Sanders |

Joe Montana
|
QB) Brett Favre
RB) OJ Simpson (its not what he did off the field its what he did on it) WR) Jerry Rice TE) Tony G DE) Bruce Smith (200 career sacks playing 3-4 DE how many would he have as a 4-3?) LB) Mike Singletary CB) Charles Woodson |
I'm curious as to why no one thinks Tom Brady is the greatest of all time.
http://www.nfl.com/player/tombrady/2504211/careerstats 96.7 QB Career rating with FOUR Superbowls. Joe Montana is a close second, but I think Brady wins it all at the end of the day. |
Though I think Brady is good, them going 3-1 with two different replacement QB's while he's been gone shows to me that this has as much to do with Belichick's coaching as the ability of Brady.

Derrick Thomas???

QB - Dan Marino (yeah, I'm bias, but I think he's done the most with the least amount of supporting cast. ie no running game and average Defense) best pure passer ever)
RB - Walter Payton (pretty much same thing as marino. people knew he was going to run, still couldn't stop him. also didn't have much as qb to help him) WR- Jerry Rice TE - Tony Gonzalez (gronk a close second) LB - Ray Lewis CB/DB - Ronnie Lott |
