GM=No Cajones

How come GM could not find the Cajones to do a commercial like this??? Ooops ...forgot Mary Bara runs the outfit now. Its just a 24 sec. commercial but I can see it being very effective in getting people to look.

Who do you think they are, Chrysler? GM doesn't do those sorts of commercials anymore. it is a shame. I remember the late 90s TA commercials - "The muscle car returns...."

I'm pretty certain that the lack of any kind of advertising is one of the main reasons the Camaro is losing sales to the Mustang and Challenger.

Last time they did an amusing cool performance commercial it got banned.

Remember the kid in class daydreaming about the Corvette?....

And yes, they need to advertise, I don't give a damn who says what I've been trying to sell this car to people who have no clue even before I order mine....

Chevy built a nice car but don't know a thing about selling the products they make. The silly feminine SUV commercials are a joke at best. They need to clean house in there marketing dept. Even the Camaro configurator page is a boring joke. The quality is bad, some of the parts you add you can hardly see them and some of the parts you add don't even show up. Compare it to Dodge's page.

Even Mustangs Config page is better than Camaros.

Camaros Config page has been sh1thole type quality since the 5th Gen camaro. You would kind of think they would learned to perfect webpages by now.

Op has a good point.. I can't remember when the last time I saw a commercial for the Camaro. Or for the Corvette, for that matter.. anyone else?!

They need to relace Mary, with one of the Force daughters.

car sales let alone performance car sales are a a fraction of the business. Advertising money is better spent on SUV's and that is the unfortunate thing these days.

I literally work where everyone could go buy a SS or 1LE trow if they wanted.

A lot of coworkers dont know anything about the Camaro and a few go they still make it?????

Chevy is doing a lot of the damage to itself.

Has GM ever produced an ad that featured tire smoke? I honestly can't remember one. I only remember one from Ford, a Mustang ad where the dad and son do a burnout under a highway overpass. As for Dodge, their ad department appears to have an unlimited tire budget!

The Camaro is so profitable that they don't care about sales numbers or advertsing.
The Camaro is so profitable that GM won't invest any more money into updates.
Result: the Camaro's sales are so low it is getting canceled.

Not sure I follow GM's logic but they are obviously done with the car and it will be a zombie for two more years. No IP updates. No powertrain updates. Same old mouse ear dash.

Also, where would GM's advertising dollar be better spent? On trucks and suvs/crossovers that practically sell themselves or cars that are a tough sell nowadays?
I mean are those "real people" ads selling silverados? What about the buick ads with the synthesized clown music? Are those driving crossover sales?

The only other possible conclusion is that they would kill it even if sold 100k units a year. They just want out of the ice game and into the ev game, big time.

These are the last good GM commercials that I can think of. Remember guys, toxic masculinity didn’t exist back then. Mary wasn’t even a thing.
