Remember the detailer is working for them and not you. I had a really bad past experience when my Accord when missing for an hour while their contracted tint shop had it. The dealer defended them because they "had never had a problem before". I reviewed my dash cam and saw it literally being repeatedly hit until it fell off the windshield. The worst part is the shop didn't fix their previous bad tint job completely, so I pushed the dealer and got them to cut a check to take it to a real shop.

Well that’s unfortunate to ha e happen. I know guys do some crazy things in other people’s vehicle, like joy riding, smoking the tires and all sorts of crazy things out of spite. I was kind of hesitant about letting them rectify the situation because after the whole ordeal of them lying to me and letting it sit there untouched; they tried to talk me into leaving it there cause they had a guy on the way at noon that Friday we picked it up. They promised they could get it back to me by close of business or by Saturday. I told them I didn’t trust them to follow through on their word, they proved that to me already. I resumed college today and I wasn’t going to be left without a second vehicle to get where I needed to be. So I took back the car and brought it home. They finally read the review I left them and the general manager got involved. That’s when they put something together to remedy the situation at hand. Idk, I’m not trying to go back and forth with them about this so against my better judgment I’m going to leave it be..... I’m hopeful, not truly optimistic but have an inkling of faith left out there... smh

Replacing my front was easier than replacing the rear. No fishing line required to coax it off. No cleaning fluid required to remove epoxy. The front is held on by plastic tabs. I used a pronged install tool (a few bucks at Auto Zone) and a butter knife to pop it off. The new one just snaps in. I made a video of my whole bow tie swap process. Now, if only I can find the darn thing....

Found it! I did the rear bow tie first. Front tie process starts at 6:00

Went to Complete Street Performance in West Chester PA yesterday to get a baseline stock dyno pull and tune. The guys there were great, and I am very happy with the results. 2017 SS M6, bone stock besides wheels & tires, 11k miles on it.

1st Pull: 416hp/427tq
After tune: 429hp/440tq

Picked up my vehicle today from the dealership, the body shop did a good job of removing the swirls without stripping the clear coat. I was skeptical about letting them attempt the job but I did want to afford them the opportunity to rectify a shit show soggy sandwich of a situation..... Overall, I’m content and can move forward with peace of mind. Now I can get started on my project of turning this car into a show piece....

It's pretty hard to destroy the clear coat with a modern dual action polisher and paint polishing compound unless you use some heavy duty rubbing compound or complete incompetence letting the bigger sit in one place for a long time.

Made the trip from NY to Florida few days ago. Finally got the grime off the car from the rain and salt. Novistretch bra was a blessing and found a huge amount of bugs and guts splattered. Put about 1600 miles on it and still have to drive back home this weekend. Was a great trip to say the least and the seats in the car with wife and 7 year old daughter in the back worked out well with no complaints on our spines. The Continental DWS06's drove like a dream i have to mention. Here is a pic i just took at Pompano Beach. I love these high pressure self serve wash places, great to have locally -

Thanks for the info and finding the video, I appreciate it!

I actually ended up switching out the emblems this afternoon before even seeing this post! I also did a write up in the DIY forum, as I managed to remove the emblem using nothing more than a Home Depot paint stir stick! Very simple and no need to remove any bolts or clips in the front bumper!

The write up: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525217

And the installed bowties:

Going to Summit Racing this morning to pick up some mods I’d like to get done this weekend. I’m looking at the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, K&N Blackhawk Air Intake Kit, BMR Strut Tower Brace, and I need to find some black slotted and dimpled rotors (hard to find a set). If anyone has suggestions on an cold air intake let me know. I’m not monogamous with K&N, I just know I like the sound and quality of it, haven’t tried another so......

I’m glad they were competent hahaha
