SS + Install 1LE suspension package
Hey, having issues searching previous threads. I have a 2016 2SS, and I’m thinking about installing the 1LE suspension package. Would this lower my car any? Is it worth the $1500 plus installation? Thanks

I would think you could find more cost effective aftermarket options that would be pretty similar in performance.

1LE's sit fairly low, but some want to go even lower. There are companies that make lowing springs for these cars.
What comes with the 1LE kit? Springs, swaybars, MRC recalibration I'm guessing? |
Yeah it’s the 1LE package part of the Chevrolet performance section, part #84556736. They have a 20% coupon that brings it down to $1200 plus tax. Not sure how much the dealership would charge to install though.

From what guys have said, with a 2016 model, you cannot get the MRC recalibration that is a part of the 1LE kit. So you would not get the full benefit of the kit (having damping calibrated for the springs).

I installed the same kit on my 2019. Lowered the car about 1/2 inch at best. I also put on 1le size wheels and tires at the same time and I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely improved the handling. If I remember correctly the dealer charged around $600 for the installation. My only complaint was they didn't get my steering wheel centered when they aligned it but I have since gotten it straightened out.

Man that’s a bummer; why would retailers advertise that’s is for 2016+ SS w/ MRC?
