Battery Location?

Hey brothers and sisters.
I may be getting to old for this shit.
I'm 60.
How about a help out?
I realize that the battery to my 18 1LE is in the trunk.
Is it under the lift up cover in the middle of the trunk?
If so, how do you get at it?
How do I expose it?
I want to get at the terminals so I can connect a battery tender for winter storage?
Does the battery have common terminals?
I've searched all about.. Many of my searches are claiming the battery is in the trunk but on the "Passenger side"...
Really,, on the Passenger side?
It's inside the rear quarter?
I'm really confused now..

The battery is in the trunk on the passenger side. There is a small access panel you can remove to see it.

Connect the charger to the terminals under the hood.

I went through this already, myself...they put a hard-to-open cover over the positive batter terminal. And even that is tucked well back in there, past the access hole...so to access the battery - you need to remove the fasteners that are holding the trunk lining in place, and peel it back.

Finally, I decided it was far easier to simply use the terminals under the hood (very easy, and safe to do). Car has been "tended" for the last two weeks without issue.

I absolutely hate when someone answers a question with "Owners Manual". Seriously, if you don't have something constructive to add, don't answer at all. Easiest access to the terminals are under the hood. It's very hard to access the positive terminal through the access panel on the passenger's side of the trunk.

Correct..
Zero shit in the owners manual pointing to the battery.
I'm just wondering if the battery is under the middle deck or elsewhere?
I've read several threads that state the battery is on the passenger side of the Trunk.
Really? Show me an image of the passenger side of the Trunk..
Please, point me where to look.

Correct. They are remote terminals to the battery for almost every application.

And above, the battery on the 5th gen was below the trunk floor, where the spare should have gone. But for the 6th gen, it's mounted behind the trunk liner, behind the right rear wheel well. There's a little access panel you can pop out of the liner in case you ever needed to disconnect the ground (black) cable.
