What's the best route to get the shift points firmed up in my '16 SS transmission?

As the title says, I'm looking to get my 2016 SS A8 shift points firmed up but I'm not sure how or if this can be done. I've read some posts on how certain TCMs are locked and so I'm wondering if anything can be done with mine?

Any suggestions will be appreciated....

You're in luck as a 2016 owner, the transmission control module bootloader was not yet encrypted in this model year (unlike on our 2017-2018s), so a tune can be written directly into it.

Having just saved the cost of unlocking, unless you're experienced (which, with all due respect, is unlikely based on your question), I suggest that you contact a seasoned pro to tune your A8.

If you can find someone local and you just want this one time retune, you can simply visit their shop and save the cost of having to buy the platform (HP Tuners), but a remote tune itself may be cheaper and if you have your own tuning device, you can easily tweak the tune later on your own, it's really up to you.

I am not familiar with anyone local to you, so just as a data point, my A8 was tuned by Ted Jannetty in CT and the tune is spot on, I have zero complaints, my trans exhibits none of the issues you must have seen often mentioned here.
