Another tire post 335/25/20
Well I found some GOODYEAR - EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR 3R here in Canada 335/25/20
Has anyone tried this size of tire yet? Will it work I want these for the rear of my zl1 as I do not mind the stock ones. Any help would be appreciated |
You'd need a 12"/12.5"/13" rear wheel...That's a Corvette tire. Wrapping that on an 11" rear wheel (that you have now) would be impossible I would think, especially with the super short and stiff sidewall on those 335/25. Also, without punching it into the tire calculator, I'm going to guess the sizing is about 2-3% different from a 305/30 in height which may give you some grief when it comes to the nannies as well as incorrect speedo readings...
In short, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Run stock/close to stock tire sizes = no issues. |
I've run a 335 on a 10.5" wheel. There were no issues getting the two to work together. I won't say it's optimal, but it is possible and no big deal. The shoulders of the tire will roll inward, toward the center of the wheel, though, so if that's not a look you'll like, this is not the way to go. Also - I found that center of the tread tended to wear a little faster, so I'd have to run a little lower air pressure in the tires. No biggie, but not optimized for sure.

I love the look of a super wide tire but not at the expense of possible damage. If I could I would go with a 325/30/20 on an 11-11.5” rim. The sport cup 2 in that size is about $350 and it would look sick. Just don’t know if that’ll fit without hitting the fender?

Thanks guys
I have found this tire I speak of for 420.xx Canadian so like 300 usd j/k I was looking for more grip so wider foot print more traction it’s only 1” per tire As far as calculating height I think it’s .69” shorter |
Just make sure that your front height is about the same or a bit smaller or it will look weird.
