2023 Camaro ZLE pulling right
Hello folks,
I have a 2023 ZLE that I recently needed to replace the left rear tire and get an alignment due to hitting a good sized pot hole. Before the new tire and alignment, the car would pull to the right and would require me to keep the wheel turned slightly left to correct it. After the alignment, all seemed much better however under heavier acceleration the car seems to pull left, but requiring the wheel to be turned slightly right to correct it (nowhere nearly as bad as before the alignment, just opposite). Not sure if the alignment done was not correct or if anyone has ideas regarding a different problem? Maybe suspension related? Vehicle modifications: - running Michelin PS4S tires |
You just need to scrub the new tyre in. What you’re experiencing is normal with an lsd and 2 rear tyres with different grip levels. Assuming the older tyre is not significantly worn out.

I agree that I would break in that new tire and then judge it. How many miles on the Right rear tire? Print out of your alignment specs from the shop?

GM warranties the alignment for up to 6,000 miles, just FYI. I had to have mine adjusted and it was a LOT better after words.

Get a front and rear alignment done and shouldn’t have any tire wear issues.

Appreciate all of the responses here! I'll go ahead and let the tire wear in a bit (~500 miles? Currently only at about 90 miles on the new tire now). All of the other tires on the car were installed mid June of last year (2023), so I'd say the other tires have about ~3,500 miles on them. I will have to find the alignment sheet I was given after the full alignment was performed for folks asking too.

Swap the tires side to side and see if the problem travels with the new tire. Otherwise, check the alignment.

I had such an issue because of improper wheel balancing
