LT2 intake manifold
With the info provided last night, what we can take from the LT2 and use on our cars? The intake looks the most promising as it looks to use the LT5 tb. Also, it is looking much taller with no height restriction.
It wondering about if it will get the fuel injection system. |
Only problem is its pointing the other way.... I was right there with you on this. LOL
We will find out soon what is interchangeable ... |
Not a burn just a response. I think the extra power is from the headers and dry sump.
|
I bet the extra power is from a different cam shaft and intake manifold. The LT1 was dry sump on the C7 GS and the power was still 460hp. The exhaust might be worth a few too.

any insight on the cyl head?

I’m not giving up yet as if they wanted to they could flip the snout pretty easily with cad.
Then it would be good to go for camaro in 2021. Do you think it would be even to tall for the camaro? Thing looks way higher than the valve covers https://st.motortrend.com/uploads/si...y=modalgallery |

There is no way that intake is fitting under the stock hood of a 6th gen Camaro. It is in essence a factory high ram intake. Probably where part of the power change on the LT2 comes from. |
A variant of the LT2 may show up in the gen7 Camaro! That’s what I am thinking now because that’s what usually happens when a new engine is introduced by Chevy and the Corvette is the platform! Be patient folks!

As King said ( I did too on the C8 release post), it is a small change in cam, header, intake, maybe some on the exhaust and CAI.
Wonder what the cam phaser is driving in the front going up? almost looks like a DI pump.... 50 hp easy with cam in cam http://chryslercorporationllc.blogsp...am-in-cam.html |
Man I’d love cam within a cam, id expect more power if it was there tho. Unless they were up against emissions and used for that...basically giving us a layup when using with mods and tuning
|
that small chain driven thing above the cam phaser maybe some sort of savaging pump for the dry sump..
