What would you want in the next-generation Camaro?
I know it's probably too early (or late) to talk about this. But, let's have a little bit of a discussion here. The 7th generation Camaro could probably be one of the most revolutionary Camaro ever. What are some expectations, or things that you would want to see in the next-generation Camaro?

More hp and less electronic crap
500hp standard. New Infotainment system, but not much else really.
A gasoline-powered engine and a stick shift.
A Z28 option
An LS7 successor
LT2
less tech, lower price.the new LT1 is a step in the right direction.
I want the Hatchback style, like in the early 2000s! Also it seems many want a more cheaper, bare bones car without much electronic crap on it.

Larger displacement, MANUAL, MANUAL. Yellow as a color option. Saddle brown as a leather option. LEDS throughout. Rip the electronic parking brake out and throw it away.

The liftback was super handy and had a much bigger window. would love the liftback to return. |
Same as what I hoped for with the Gen6. A great coupe first, then a Camaro. Gen6 was a great Camaro first and ended up being a lousy coupe. That will result in more sales and thus sustainability.
But an even higher wish, an EV that sets the bar globally for all OEMs to strive for on performance (including range) and more importantly cost. Not just an electric Camaro, but the new global standard for propulsion. GM touts the Ultium battery as able to deliver just that. We'll see. |
No way the Camaro is going to remain a gasoline vehicle into the next generation with current GM leadership (except maybe a race version to remain in stock car races). If it remains around, its going to be an electric vehicle, which could be really cool depending on how the new Hummer tech plays out in the long term. BUT, it should not be called a camaro
