Yup, still a bunch more waiting to do, need:

Full pricing
Nurburgring times (Al was so hyped up about these)
open order banks
Production start dates

Does any of this help?

Why yes, yes it does:

Aug 23 your dealer will see their estimated allocations?
Sept 8 Dealer Order Submission Process = Ordering begins?

thanks again!

And for some there may be a big disappointment when they learn that their dealer might not receive any allocation whatsoever. 4700 dealers nationwide and production will not likely mirror that. There were less than 3000 ZL1 sold the first year if I recall. Whatever that number was isnt important. The fact that not every dealer got one is however. I wonder how many interested folks will make a purchase? Some folks might have dropped out due to pricing. We shall see.

There were a little over 1900 ZL1's sold in 2012 for the first year. A couple of reasons, production did not start until December. A very long QC time, a bunch of constraints and the allocation process that you mention. We could not place orders until the end of November. These orders start next month, good luck to all of you that will be making orders, this should be a hell of a car.

Anybody have any info when the ZL1 convertible/10speed auto might be available for order?

We can now order the Gen6 camaro V8 and turbo 4's for the UK market with delivery early next year, Our dealer has No idea weather the UK or any of Europe will get the ZL1 . Is there any way to find out for sure ??

psalmon123 08-11-2016 04:30 PM

I am working with 3 different dealers to make sure I get one. The consensus is they are going to roll out the ZL1 to UK and Canada a couple of months after the US. I'm not sure whether they mean order date or delivery date.

If they hold back orders to Canada a few months no one will bother buying until April at the earliest. Would be a bad mistake.

They r not holding back Canadian orders. Confirmed this today.

First build according to my dealer is 10/10-16 that's the day the first 2017 ZL1 rolls on the assembly line ...

Depending on location in Canada/USA you could see it shorty after.

The big factor / issue is if "your" dealer gets their allocation ...

Thanks for the reassurance. Makes no sense to hold us back. If you're right it would be nice to be able to drive it for a month, break it in and put it away.

I'll try to order in February most likely. Hopefully employee pricing will be available then and winter will be done in Chicago at time of delivery.
