Done by Hennessey. Corvette missed a shift which caused it to be closer than what it should have. Two car lengths perhaps?

In any event watch for yourself and decide. Both cars sound awesome. Starts at around 2:10.

ZL1 put up a good fight. For the cost difference the ZL1 looks to be a much better buy ( in a straight line)

Wish they did it from a dead stop but that is quite impressive for the zl1

Gonna go out on a limb, but I think an A10 walks the M7 ZO6 based on what I just saw. Hellcat gets walked by both by a car length or two...just maybe

Love it! IMHO, the ZL1 looks nicer also. But that's totally subjective and my opinion, of course :D

I agree, I've watched the Z06 get beat by the hell cat with a M7, then I've watched the Z06 walk on the hellcat with the A8. So, yes its gonna walk on the Z06 with an A10, but match them up again with the A10 and the Z06 A8 and it will be a better race with the A10 just edging ahead because of the gear spacing in the A10.

Looks close but I think the Z06 driver missed or almost missed a shift allowing the ZL1 to catch back up.

I agree. Vette either lifted or missed a shift at the 2:59 vid mark. Not sure if this was intentional or not. I'm sure this wasn't the only side by side run they made that was not put on video.

Someone needs to Man up and take their Manual Gen6 ZL1 down the track for some shakedown runs. The air is great right now across the country. I'm sure break-in period is over for most. Trap speed will tell us everything. I'm thinking 123-125 bone stock.

Is it just me, or did the ZL1 look better than the C7Z at almost every angle in this Vid??

I thought the same thing until I listened to John's comments afterward. Based on those and what you hear from the Vette, I think traction control kicked in or the driver lifted a little. John said the Vette was spinning almost everytime at the hit and apparently the ZL1 must've just went, because he said he would pull the Vette a little on the starts, then it was kinda back and forth with the Vette slowly pulling ahead.
Wish they would've tried from a dig. If the ZL1's extra weight helps with traction, could be very interesting. If they have about the same, then the Vette will pull it sooner I think, because it's so much lighter.

I agree! Looking at them side by side behind him, I like the looks of the ZL1 better. That's the best angle to show off the wider fenders on the ZL1 I've seen so far. I hadn't been able to tell much difference in it and the standard Camaros until that shot.

I'm totally with you!! I think the A10 is going to be a game changer like they said!
