RWHP

Does anyone have any good estimate of what the RWHP is on a 2019 ZL1 stock with A10 transmission. I have a new Roto Fab oil CAI coming in tomorrow and wanted to get a rough idea of what I should be pushing st the rear wheels after I install it.

Around 550-560 rhwp on a Dynojet using SAE correction.

Thanks Reg. Is that the stock numbers or with the CAI?

Gunkk 07-25-2019 04:36 AM

Assuming there's no tune, power will be the same after install.

About 540-550whp. The rotofab is nice and makes the SC sound louder. I think you’ll pick up about 10whp. Much more after a tune. I’d wait until at least headers for a tune tho.

Thanks Mark. I was looking at ARH full system last night and they talk about 5% increase in air flow but I wonder what that will do to whp with the RotoFab and full header exhaust system.

As Gunkk stated, I think a number of people have shown that there are ZERO gains on adding the Rotofab intake with no tune. Makes the engine bay look cool, makes the supercharger whine more noticeable, but the claims of 10-15 whp have not held up

With a full header exhaust system you would need a tune and that is where the mods will show an increase in rear wheel horsepower.

Run 02 is bone stock. Run 04 is a ROTOFAB with TUNE. Run 07 is with E85 flex fuel system installed and running E85

Admittedly, mine for whatever reason is one of the highest ones I have seen stock.

I would say the thing that matters are the increases with each mod and tune. Your gain of 25rwhp and 30 rwtrq with rotofab and tune seem spot on with the gains seen on other cars. the numbers themselves are a bit on the high side, and are actually some of the highest I have ever seen reported on a stock vehicle.

To the OP, here is an old thread showing the wide ranges of stock numbers for our cars.

Nothing should be different between numbers for 2019 vs 2017 and 2018 as there have been zero changes to the engine

Baseline numbers don’t have much value as dyno brands and calibrations vary greatly.... as you stated, what matters is the mod to mod data on the same dyno.

All these increases look about right I suspect the CAI & tune increase was more about the tune than the CAI at that power level.

Hey guys. I really appreciate the feedback on all of this and have received some great information. Keep it up. I love this beast.

I agree 100%. everything from the type of dyno, temperature, altitude, correction method used etc. can affect the baseline read. I haver also seen people gain 20~25whp from leaning out the factory tune a bit with zero mods, thus negating what we are actually seeing from the Rotofab. But it's so pretty :)

Our 2019 A10 put down 554hp / 598tq on a dynojet.
