San Diego 2013 SS

Hello all!

So... I decided that I wanted to get either a Mustang or a Camaro awhile back ago. I ended up getting a 2011 LT/RS in VR and I really liked it a lot. I started to do some mods and got a little HP hungry. Before I decided to go beyond a CAI and exhaust I figured I would check out an SS.

It was kind of crazy that there was no manual 2013 on the lot when I went to take a look, so I test drove a 2012. I hadn't driven a stick since my old 1986 Mazda B2000, so it required a little bit of an adjustment, but I really liked it. The dealer said they would find the one I wanted so I decided to move forward.

They found me a 2013 SS/RS in BRM(the color I always wanted) with silver rally stripes. When it arrived it also had the Hurst shifter and the dual mode exhaust, plus all of the new electronic goodies. I had to choke down a giggle when I fired it up, not to mention trying not to drool on myself.

I got a K&N CAI after about a month, upgraded the DRLs to HID, I have a skip-shift eliminator in the mail, and I will pull the NPP fuse this weekend. I love this car! I feel like I finally own a car that I will keep forever. I am on the fence on the car club thing, but I really like to read all of the valuable information on these forums!

(Oh, and for the record I am glad I didn't wait until 2014)

cottrellj2, CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
