Confirmed possible! Full exhaust removal on 2 jack stands
Successfully pulled full exhaust out from in front of secondaries to back by myself with just one side of car on stands and a skate board (lol).. I’ve seen a few posts in the past of people asking if it was possible or how difficult it was and I finaly took the chance so I could do some “custom work” around the “resonators”... it realy wasn’t bad at all. I think it took longer to get car on stands then it did to pull the exhaust off.... so just for anyone else looking for this info later, yes it is possible and no it wasn’t bad at all. And yes you can hollow them out

Congrats! Do you have any pictures you want to share?

I did something very similar just had the front of my car on ramps.
Just protect the diffuser with towels or something similar in case the exhuast drops and hit it. Other than that, it was pretty painless. |
Did you make those resonator chambers yourself? or did they come with the exhaust? Did they help with drone? and did you measure them to properly tune them?

We did that at the LS Fest when I broke the driveshaft, not fun at all but we got the DS replaced and made the 3rd of qualifying.

Ya, very doable and wasnt really difficult at all especially if you use 6 ton jacks and stands. they get about 24 inches off the ground and make it much easier. just a bit nerve racking getting it down when you have it on 4 jackstands. lol. I had ample room had my arms fully extended putting in the new exhaust. Did headers by installing through the bottom (2 inch headers was just barely to thick to come in from the top) with no problem.

I'm doing this today, I'm hoping regular jack stans are tall enough to get the headers in and out. /fingers crossed
