Looking to Trade Primary Cat Delete Pipes for Stock Cat Pipes
I got some cat delete pipes and ended up not liking the sound. So I want to even trade for a set of stock cat pipes, GM PN# 23463697 and 23463698.
Thanks |

It doesn't look like I am going to have any luck finding stock cats, so I'd be willing to sell these straight up for $300. They are brand new I only had them on for a day and took them off. They don't come with mounting studs for the transmission bracing part and the passenger side flange but I will include the bolts and nuts I bought. I left the header collector gasket on these too, but keep in mind the gasket is a supposedly one time use only deal, they are about $12 a piece at the dealer for new ones. Thanks.

I don't know why you don't just run them and add some resonators.

My only guess is the double wall of the stock downpipes and headers help to attenuate noise. I believe there main reason for the double wall is to insulate the pipes for faster cat warmup during cold starts but maybe it helps with sound too. |
Resonators are not just for drone...they tone down the entire exhaust note.
Only thing I notice with my CA pipes is I can hear the "fuel tick" similar to LT headers on cold start. I do agree cat deletes make the stock NPP muffler "tinny" sounding which is why I ended up doing a axle back. I am sure your large cam amplifies these noises. |
