Garage Opener
I ordered a '22SS in July and picked it up last Sat. Really love the car (Wild Cherry with medium grey interior) but found out after I got it home that GM quit putting garage door openers in the Camaro starting in 2020!

That sucks.
We see too far. |
I use my remote opener clipped to my sun visor. Works all the time.

Welcome to the new century. Use an app brother

I use the opener in my car (obviously mine is old enough LOL) but I do have an app on my phone as well. I use that when I'm on my bike.

I have a 3 button Chamberlain… I pulled off the metal clip and flattened it so it would be a tight fit to the ultra thin visor. I have it on the passenger side closest to rear view mirror. |
There is a rear view console mod out there that will give you a built in opener.

we stick to the openers that come with the units.
both our silverado and sonata have homelink buttons of some sort and none of them work on our current garage door openers(they are brand new chamberlain 2021 units). they keep changing the frequencies on them and now we have to buy a repeater if we want homelink to work. apps are nice but who wants to pull a phone out of the pocket, unlock, find an app and open a door. we don't keep our phones out and visible while driving. no one I need to talk to that importantly. SOOO much easier to clip the one that comes with the unit to the visor. I put them on top against the headliner so you don't see them from the drivers seat so much. as they say tho... to each their own. lots of ways to open a door. |
My 2019 2ss doesn’t have the garage opener.
I have Siri and the remote. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
