Lethal Garage says LT-5 in ZL-1 1LE
|
Unfortunately that probably isn’t going to happen because GM announced the LT5 was going to be discontinued several months ago. There is another article from GM Authority that GM tried to put the LT5 into the CT5-V and couldn’t make it fit in the Alpha chassis.

I'm not buying it. The engine has supposedly been discontinued in production and is no longer available for purchase for retro fit applications. I'd like to see it in the ZL1 as much as anyone, but it won't fit under the hood and I can't see GM spending any more money on the Camaro platform.

He seems pretty sure of himself. We shall see.

Many things have been said.
Many things did not come true. |
Clickbait nonsense.

Debunked months ago when he first made the claim.
Lethal is sliding down the clickbait road lately. https://www.motortrend.com/news/gm-l...-discontinued/ https://cadillacsociety.com/2021/03/...lt5-v8-engine/ |
Might be true actually. They discontinued the LT5 as a crate to have enough inventory to stuff that engine into the ZL1 1LE final edition. If true, it will be a badass track machine since LT5 comes with dry sump besides the power increase.

GM needs a proper sendoff for the Camaro.

Yeah seems like pipe dreams to me as well. Lethal could be getting some bad info also so i don’t blame him for making a video to make a few bucks off of it.

He seems like a decent guy with some good tech videos.
But Camaro is already dead and LT5 is silly since GM has little interest. |
GM spent a lot of $ to get the CT5 BW in the hands of jouralists and enthusiast webbers. The LT4 was massaged to get max power. They are NOT putting The LT5 in it.
