I sold my 2016 2SS a few years ago so it's been a while since I've been here, but I'm back with a 2018 ZL1 with 9500 miles on it. Any problems I need to look out for with the new car?

So far it's been amazing and it feels like it's twice as fast as the SS was. I don't know how that's possible! :bonk:

Congrats! Nice looking ride. No major concerns with 18 and newer. Enjoy the beast.

Looks awesome.. probably the torque.. and of course ether additional horse power.. the ZL1 has power thru all gears..

Only think I would suggest is watch your oil pressure.. there are some threads about oil pump failures..

Enjoy the car

Well KenH, the ZL1 has 200 more hp with a supercharger. That’s why it is faster than an SS and the handling is different too in a ZL1. I had a 2016 2SS before the ZL1 and I found out the last 2 years it’s a awesome Camaro for the price even for a used one like I bought.

Oil pump failures seemed to still be an issue in 2018 based on polls here. It looks like most of the failures went away in 2019.

Congrats, A10 or M6 ? I got the A10 and traded in my 2017 2SS M6. Got tired of shifting in stop and go.

Congrats on the upgrade

Recommend you bleed the intercooler loop. If an air pocket is present, the intercooler coolant pump will cavitate and shut down, and the car will reduce power.

JRE makes an adapter, and there's another plastic version available for about $20 IIRC (I forget the vendor name). Bolt-on reservoir solutions start around $200 or so.

Put a catch can (I prefer Elite) and IC circuit coolant tank on it ASAP

Watch oil pressures as others have said, should be at least 26-28 hot idle

I just got the same car, 2018 ZL1 A10 but about 9700 on it! I came from a 2017 fifty edition SS and it feels so much more powerful.

Congrats!

Congrats she looks great!

CONGRATS'!!!

Maybe make sure the bypass is adjusted properly, too. You might regain some power lost there, also.
