Good things come to those who wait! :D |
So presuming Chevy Marketing sticks to their program for most colors...
Of 83,348 total cars in 2017 16,185 (19%) were Convertibles 9,039 (11%) were Red Hot 3,048 (4%) were ZL1 and using the GVM data 78 of 127 (61%) were A10s. That makes my car a 1 of 39 (+/- about 3 or 4). Not too bad :thumb: |

Awesome!
Thank you. |
This isn't as specific of data as they give when you email.
Good attempt, but that's lacking a lot of data points. |

Wow, nice low production numbers on the SS 1LE.
2018 will be a lot higher I bet, as more people (and dealers) know what it is now, plus there is the 2SS option...not to mention no late availability. |

that's what I did and saw it on the FB ZL1 Group. I don't know if the data set they pulled from was ZL1 specific or not. I didn't ask about our 2016 Camaro SS. Only our 2017 Camaro ZL1. I know how many 2017 Camaro ZL1 came in HBM. They also told me how many ZL1 total came with A10s, then with G96 eLSD, and the IO6 Infotainment.. Since all of those are 1 of 2 option sets, you can calculate out the full configuration of those with MN6 or MX0, or IO5 vs IO6 or when knowing the G96 option, you now know how many came as convertible because they're the only ones that came with non-eLSD for ZL1. They can't tell you how many came with PDR or exposed CF hoods. Had all this data 2 months ago, but they didn't want people publicizing it.. Now that they've kinda done it, I don't feel so wrong about it. What I'm disappointed in, is Chevy's lack of desire to really keep up with data points that they will already have since they're the ones that build it. Everyone submits digital orders these days, so, for them to build the car, they'd have to know what options were ordered and where it was ordered from to get back there... This is all computerized for sequencing of parts along the various stations and booths, so I don't buy the "we don't know" routine. It's more lack of concern of that level of detail to maintain. This is all basic report writing and dB work and nothing more. You'd think with the community surrounding certain GM cars, they'd care a little more about more details since it seems every year, people want the numbers. It's not like a person has to go through paper orders like days of old. The last step in the process, as it rolls off the line, could be a store command being sent to their systems recording the final completion of a 2018, Camaro ZL1, A10, Mosaic Black, Coupe, No Sunroof, that did not have PDR, but did have exposed CF hood and didn't get Nav.... It's literally on the build sheet and was already coded so they could build the car.. Also, it's textual data here, so we're not talking about untold TB or PB of media files and such.. it's some of the easiest compressible data there is and have multiple and easily done in code sorting methods as well. |
So the joke in my signature is actually true...my ash gray cloth seats really are rare! 1 of 281
