Track Number Suggestions?

I would like to get a set of vinyl or magnetic track numbers for my SCCA time trial in May. What do you folks recommend? (I searched, but the results were bad) :emoticon6:

Reasonably priced and great quality.

large roll of magnet sheet and some stencils from amazon. just under $40 all in with enough material to make lots of sets.
They have held on over regular 120MPH straights.

↑↑↑ I'd still run a strip of painter's tape along the leading vertical edge(s).

Alternatively, you could run just the cut-out numbers (and if you're more artistic than I am, use the tape for visual effect).

+1 for trackdecals.com. I have a set of magnetic numbers from them and have never had an issue at >140mph.

Any paint swirling or scratches from the magnetic numbers?

He uses a stronger than average magnetic backing for track decals.

You can also customize to your hearts content.

Wipe the area down with detail spray before you put on.

I haven't had issues. I do the same as Matthew - wipe down area with detail spray and also the backside of the magnet before application.

It will scratch. Happened to me so I switched to vinyl and left them on.

Bummer. I bought the magnetic ones from Track Decals after the positive reviews. I'll clean them as suggest and see how it goes. My car is far from a car show queen.

I have had great luck with https://www.firestormgraphix.com/
Magnetics should not scratch if you take proper care. I make sure the surface is clean first. I carry wax and a micro fiber just for that purpose. I also make sure that I wipe off the magnetic side before I put it on so there is not grit between surfaces. Finally, I never drag the magnetic side off the car. I roll it on and peel it off. Separately, I never had one come off, but you can tape the leading edge if you are concerned.
