Not what she deserved, RIP

Well today was a really bad day. Spent a ton of time on my car yesterday, took it for a drive this morning ... a young girl pulled out of a driveway and t-boned me as I was driving by. Any adjusters, I think it’s a write off? Body is split wide open in spots ...

Damn man, hope you are OK! That's some serious hit. That's crazy!

whiteboyblues2001 04-11-2018 01:34 PM

Sorry to hear that, and hope you are okay!!

I always try to turn negatives into positives. Maybe there was an option you regret not getting. This is your chance to have a do-over. You could always go ZL1 too!

Not an adjuster but I've done some painting in a previous live. I'd say you're going to be pretty close to a total. From what I can see she got the Pass. door, rocker, quarter, bumper, rear wheel, tire and whatever suspension damage that occurred. The Deck, tail lights and bumper are toast and at least the drivers quarter.

That doesn't take into account any interior damage or airbags so...

On a positive note. You did one hell of a job installing that drivers side rear splash guard as it's still in place.

I'm no expert but that looks like a total to me... Just glad you are okay and seeing as it is her fault make sure you get enough in return.

HartfordRacingCaptain 04-11-2018 01:54 PM

Sorry to see this. Did she pull out of her driveway at 60mph?

SSDan 04-11-2018 01:57 PM

I was a claims adjuster for many years. By looking at photos only my best guess is that the vehicle will be considered a total loss. It needs what is know as a full rear clip plus unibody (frame) repair plus a door, wheel, muffler with probable rear suspension damage plus a lot of bits and pieces that I can't fully see in the photos.

It truly is a sad sight and I wish you the best in the settlement process.

Glad you are ok.

Really looks like a total loss. But maybe you can turn this into something positive like upgrading to 1LE

Cant see the picture! Glad you're ok though!

Edit: Now I do, holy cow!

Fred 6528 04-11-2018 02:09 PM

Ah that will buff right out

LuvMI 04-11-2018 02:11 PM

Say it ain’t so??? Glad you’re safe. Maybe you can now get that refresh. :0

CamaroSue 04-11-2018 02:20 PM

That really makes me sad! :frown: Hope you are back in another Camaro ASAP!!!

IMadeYouReadThis 04-11-2018 02:24 PM

that sucks buddy I've had a car written off before and it's a stressful situation man.

At least you know you weren't at fault and you're okay cars can be replaced

MackSteelPrivateEye 04-11-2018 02:26 PM

I see no pic. So she just pulled out with out looking and T-Boned you just like that? Sad.
