Agreed, I want to meet a C8 on track with an aggressive driver. I think it would be a lot of fun, 1LEs are beastly and very under rated.
When I come off the track, after lapping the field, guys always come up to me asking me what I did to the cars engine, am I running racing tires, i tell them its 100% stock with stock tires that have 12,000 miles on them
They cant believe it

I would consider a different organizer like PCA or Chin.. also you may be in the wrong run group.. 1le is great but I doubt you'll be lapping the field at a Chin event or PCA..

I run with NASA, SCDA and HOD

I run in the advanced group
PCA is a different story, GT3 RS are sick fast

I had a great time running against a C7 Z06. I learned the track a little quicker and he gradually caught up to my times, so I led at first and then followed him.

I will def give them a shot, They do not run much in the northeast, I tried to run with Chin at Sebring, but they were sold out, last month

Im running with NASA at Sebring this weekend, looks like a very fast track, should be interesting

At what track did you run with the Zo6?

C7 Z06s are beasts, My friend has one, there is no way I could keep up with one, with a fast driver.I ran him at NJMSP thunder, Z06 was hitting 150mph on straight
Beastly car

Sebring is my favorite track in the Southeast. If you haven't run it before, take a look at Jim Pace's tutorial.

It's an excellent primer and is the line I strive to drive every time.

Respect turn 1, look for the cone in the fence (NASA guys will tell you), turn 4-5 trips a lot of guys up, the tower turn isn't really a turn...you'll see and by the end of the weekend, you'll be astonished how fast you can take Bishops in the 1LE.

You'll hear everyone complaining about how rough the surface is. The beautiful thing about MRC, you'll barely feel a bump.

And last, don't skip the NASA Ground School sessions. They will give you a ticket you'll need to turn in when reporting to grid. And, they are pretty good lessons even if they weren't holding your sessions hostage. :D

Have fun.
