I did so I could put in coolshirt system. I think Schrader is the brand, can look later, I'm old and wear a suit and Sebring is hot as hell in August

I did a rear seat delete and replaced the seat with cardboard and black felt to make it looked finished. It only cost me $30 worth of supplies, and the board is attached to the plastic trim with double sided adhesive. Saved me about 27 lbs. of weight and really easy to do as the seats are just held in by clips.

Thanks! My wife made the seat cover, so I was lucky to have her help out.

Nice work! So, the rear seats only weigh 27lb?!
Or is this a saving over a market solution?
Thanks for the clarification. Cheers!

Thanks! The seats actually weigh close to 30 lbs, so it was about 3 lbs of material to cover the opening and metal for a net weight loss of 27 lbs. This was a lot cheaper than buying the Schrader seat delete as it was nice and functional for holding items, but almost 10 times more costly than making one at home.

Does the 30lbs include the rear seat belts?

Just the top and bottom seat sections. I haven’t removed the rear seat belts yet.
