Quickjack and headers
Anyone done a header install using quickjacks? Seen favorable reviews on here regarding the quickjack and thinking of getting one with a header install on the list. Thanks!

Yep did mine on a quickjack. Had to raise it as high as it would go just to get them to go in. Driver's side was easy but the passengers side was a pain in the ass. I went with 2in because of going bigger cubic inches so it should be a little easier if you went with the 1 7/8.

Did mine on Race Ramps 2 piece Hooker Blackheart makes life easy:thumbup:

I plan on doing a full exhaust from Longtube headers to Black Diamond Tips on my QJ during Thanksgiving weekend since I'll have 4 days off.
No need to rush and time to do any purchasing of small items I may forget. I'll post up on how it goes. |
Great. Thanks for the replies.

You cant do it with 17" jackstands, I just found that out today. Trying to find a ride to harbor freight so I can finish it tomorrow, doh!

It is definitely doable on QJ. The difficult part is clearance on the passenger side with the 1-7/8 Kook headers. Plan some time to do this, it's not an over-night job that's for sure. Booher did his on Jack Stands, which I think would be more difficult when going from under the car to the engine bay. With the QJ, just a push of the button...I wish the installation was that easy! LOL! I have the AWE exhaust, and the two do not match up, hence I need to get some additional piping. |
did mine wit the quick jack
pass side required motor mount removal all in all not that bad stainless works 1 and 7/8 |
What makes the quickjack any better than a jack and jackstands?

I did my ARH install on quickjack. Had to stack the two blocks it comes with to get it high enough for passenger side header. Had to unbolt pass motor mount and push it forward for install. Headers are coated so was being careful not scratch them.
