Can’t break 500 RWHP !

Car made 475hp with cam , 1 7/8 headers , e85. Added the ported msd intake , roto fab , 2in headers and converter and now it out down 480 . What could be the reason ? Timing #28 a/f around 12.9/13.1 5th gear pull

If your converter isn’t locking that will cost you quite a bit on the dyno. Also if you are using 5th that consistently reads 20-30 hp lower than 6th which is 1:1 and the accurate gear to dyno in.
If you are unlocked and in 5th your numbers are probably about right. Locked and in 6th add a good 50 hp plus to your numbers I’m at 480-490 rwhp and trap around the same in that DA. But I’m a couple hundred pounds lighter than stock at least . I’d say you are probably around 530 rwhp as a guess |

Do you have a baseline of how much the car made before mods? Final HP means nothing without a baseline. Maybe you are on a low reading dyno. Or probably went with a small cam. 6th on A8 is the 1:1 gear as stated above you’ll see a but more there

Might just be the dyno your on. Try a different dyno.

Mine just put down 491 yesterday with basically the same mods, not sure about differences in cam sizes though. I am not too worried because the dyno here is known to read a tad low and I only really care what it runs at the track.
