Corvette fuel rail cover install
1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys I did a lot of searching and found several threads with ppl doing this swap but very little explaining how to...
Parts needed: Ls3 vette fuel rail covers Vette fuel rail mounting studs Depending on ur model Heater hose relocater kit most come with fuel line hose also ( mine is a 2013 so I did not need this and I chose not to purchase a fuel line hose because I did not want to flip my fuel rail I purchased a fuel line from katech...) Do your research flipping includes more work but the fuel line is shorter and cheaper... I wanted it to protrude from the passenger side cover like the vette does so I purchased the other line which was simple to put on. The passenger side fuel rail cover will have to be notched at the back to have room for the a/c line... Here is my completed pic... Thanks for looking and of you have any questions ask. |
Would be really cool if it didn't say Corvette!!

I like it! That's pretty cool. I want to do mine with a corvette flag oil cap.

Just curious, why would you want an engine cover that says Corvette, on your Camaro?
|
Nice work, it looks good! Although I would get a vinyl decal that says Camaro SS to cover the Corvette.

Interesting mod. If it was an actual Corvette motor this makes sense. I see it done on the swaps into older muscle cars.
For my LS1 swap into my 68, I had the GTO covers painted to match the color and the Camaro script added in place of the "GTO": http://www.camaro5.com/forums/pictur...ctureid=132900 |

thanks I plan to get some placards made that say CAMARO I just prefer these stock style over the expensive aluminum style...
|
just my opinion but ls motors are beautiful so why cover them
|
didn't like looking at all those wires and coils
|
It is a corvette motor and the covers look really good. Makes sense to me.

I have a couple questions for Vince. I have 2 hard vacuum lines and a fuel line preventing me from installing my corvette fuel rail covers. I need to know what fuel line you ordered and what you did to the vacuum lines. I would appreciate any guidance you could give me to make the covers work. Thanks…
