HELP ! Battery drain.
I have a 2017 ZL1 with a battery drain .Leave it for a week and (usually) completely discharged. Have started on boost pack and driven it and battery has overheated really badly twice. Have new battery again and don't want it to happen again. Have checked for drain with ammeter and looks normal whilst I have viewed it. Only electrical mod is lambo rear lights . Any ideas from previous experience guys ?

Start with the lights. I have seen nothing but problems like this on these forums with aftermarket lights.
Did it start after the rear light change? If so, that's where you need to start looking. Could be a grounding issue causing a parasitic drain.
I can't remember if it did or didn't. But when I look the drain is 20 milliamps approx. Unless the system wakes up periodically and it drains then. I could unplug the lights and leave it and see if that changes anything .

If it’s the original battery it’s likely toasted.

I have a fresh battery, last one was toasted, literally ! will disconnect the rear lights and play the waiting game.
Disconnect the lights and see if the drain goes down to 3 or 4 ma.
I have disconnected the lights and will leave it for a week or so, see what happens, thanks for the input so far guys.

Looks like disconnecting has done the trick, so am now wiring the lights via trailer 7 way bypass relays . The manufacturer admitted they have had issues as well.

Aftermarket electrical components are always guilty until proven innocent (by thorough testing in all power states with a multimeter)
if the car can't get into "sleep mode", the battery will drain pretty quickly
FYI- If the power window button lights up for 3 seconds every 30 seconds, with doors unlocked its a problem with the taillights.

All great info guys thanks.
