Camaros are starting to sell like hotcakes here!!

Yesterday, my friend purchased a black with adrenaline red seats 2SS for his wife at our favorite dealer. He said that while they were signing papers, two others sold at the same time! There was a ton of buzz over our car at the track the other night, so maybe that was a subliminal message? LOL

Also, my sales guy has a pic of my 11 second pass. He's a friend and a motorhead like me. Told him that he should use it to show what kind of performance to expect out of these new Camaros.

Cool,

Gotta get these 6th gens selling so we can catch up to the Mustang sales.

I am just wondering why everyone is so concerned about Gen6 sales? I would rather not see one every 2 minutes.

Selling great here too...still no inventory to speak of as far as SSs go...

I still think we are in constricted supply vs super hot sales...

Well the amount they are building a day, it will eventually be that way.

The short of it is that, if sales start consistently trailing significantly behind the Mustang, it could be more likely for Chevy to kill the Camaro again. Also, the consistent lead that the 5th gen had was pretty much unprecedented in the two cars' history.

I am. I want to see this car continue into the future. I had a GTO and a G8 and loved them, but can't buy a new one since they had poor sales along with Pontiac in general. Most Camaros will be the 4 cylinder and 6, and I really don't care if they are everywhere. For really rare, the 1LE or new ZL1 would be a great option. I didn't buy this car hoping it would be the only one in FL. Lol

You hit the nail on the head. I feel the same way.

If they don't sell well, then GM will not put resources into the lower volume higher performance models or even worse kill it after this gen. Improvements made on the higher performance models almost certainly would trickle down into the SS down the road. This is why I hope they sell well.

suzook 02-21-2016 01:13 PM

I understand the reasoning, but it will sell just fine once production is ramped up. I'm enjoying the exclusivity for the time being.
