Any one install this kit on their 2.0 camaro? How did it affect the ride and handling?

I think I actually have this. They labeled it as a fe3 sport sypension package and I maybe wrong but it is 24mm lower than stock and handles a bit smoother on cornering. I don't know for sure since I've done all the multi rear links to BMR and made a HUGE difference.

It came installed from the factory when the car was built?

I believe so. It stated sport suspension package. 24mm lowering springs, sway bars, and sport strut mounts. Dunno if thats it or not, but mine was a 1LT with bose speakers, sport suspension, sunroof, and optional 18" wheels. I think it was a custom order from the dealer. MSRP was 29,900. I got it for 24,800 for having a GM supplier discount and was an employee through their network at the time.

I think when you get that it is a dealer installed option, but it can be ordered with the vehicle.

Yes, that is upgraded GM suspension from the factory or done by the dealer on site.

I got my 2.0 for $24,000 on a GM discount as well with 6 piston front brakes, HD cooling package, RS package, 8" touch screen, Bose system, sunroof, battery tender ect... Score! Wish it had the suspension upgrade though. I want to do that mod next.

How much better does it handle you think? Have you driven other 2.0's to compare it?

I ordered the lowering kit last week when they were on sale at GM. The dealer emailed me, saying it is on 2-3 week back order.

Far as handling, I could not tell you between a regular and mine. It does hold good on turns, but didn't really test it til after I did a bunch of BMR stuff to it. Just need to go about .5" lower and those bilstein shocks then it will ride on rails.

The GM Lowering Kits for the LS/LT are to be used only if the car has 20-inch tires. The lowering kit specifically excludes cars with 18-inch tires. I can only guess it's because there may be suboptimal response due to sidewall flex using 18-inch tires with the lowered suspension.

From the Chevrolet Performance website:

PART NO. 84225252 /Camaro LT Coupe without 18” Wheels for 1LT/2LT

PART NO. 84225256 /Camaro LT Convertible without 18” wheels for 1LT/2LT
