Does the AutoX count for a driving school event(step 3 on first link)? Or would I have to do that prior to the event?

That’s referring to club racing. For autocross you just show up and run.

Make an effort to go talk to Steve and Jeff running the widebody blue Fox notchback in CAM-T. They're really good guys and will get you going in the right direction. I'd be there but we're doing the final prep for One Lap on my car that day.

Jeff has co-driven my 1LE at Nationals and will drive it at Optima's DriveAutoX in June, and Steve is the only guy I trust to work on my cars.

They'll be happy to instruct you, and will speed you up quite a bit in a day.

Hopefully, I'll meet you at an event later this year. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the heads up on Steve and Jeff, I will try to get some time for a chat. Just seen there are 31 entries in novice class this session. Seems the good weather brings out the interest in racing
