No 20% tags for November!

For anyone that may be holding out for a 20% off Red Tag on a leftover 17 it doesn't look like it is to be... at least in November this year. I just saw the latest incentives and heading into November once again no 20% on Camaro's! Time will tell if there will be anything added for Black Friday.

CamaroBody 11-01-2017 12:16 AM

I was happy with 10% off but good luck

Slim picking on 17's I thing when GM slowed production it really cut inventory just what they wanted to do. Very few SS modes on the lots as well.

This just keeps confirming that I made the right choice to buy back in June. Got about 10% overall on the right car that does not appear anywhere now that we are later in the year with decreased inventories everywhere.

Hock23 11-01-2017 11:59 AM

I feel like there wont be any 20% discounts until either the refresh comes out or they do a new model change.

Employee(gms) pricing on the 17's

Chazzz 11-01-2017 05:09 PM

Keep in mind regardless of what the customer rebates are right now, there are factory to dealer incentives available on all 17's. In fact I see some dealers advertising an honest 20% plus off of MSRP right now... and that's before any qualifying incentives and negotiating. If you find an aggressive dealer that wants to sell cars in quantity you can most definetly negotiate an amazing deal on a leftover 17, and I am proof of that as I can trade my 17 Vert in today for more than I bought it for brand new in September!!! Deals are out there so shop around and deal hard!!!

Deal hard but know that the more expensive cars seriously depreciate. My cars MSRP = $47K. Bought for $36K and worth $33K as soon as I drove out of the lot, November 2016. If I were to trade it in now, it would be worth $26K - $29K with 5K miles. That value put's a mental damper on me wanting to buy a ZL1, even if it has 20% sticker.

I agree 100% and even more the reason to deal hard. My 17 Vert has already lost nearly 40% of its original MSRP as a trade. Fortunately the deal I made should cover most of the huge first year depreciation that these cars all take.

CruzySS 11-01-2017 06:21 PM

Glad I got mine last year! Got an amazing 28% off msrp

Leftover 17's are still out there in fairly large numbers mostly depending on what part of the country you are in. Cars.com is currently showing over 12,000 new 17's in dealer inventory and that includes 2,226-2SS and 443-1SS still available nationwide.....However, if you happen to be in the market for a 2017 1LE V8 I can count on 1 hand what's left out there. By contrast they show just under 9,000 17 Mustangs, and 3,600 Challengers still leftover.

Better off to buy a CPO SS this year. Mine Stickered for 39,700 and I bought it with 900 miles for 32. CPO gets 12 month bumper, 6yr 100k powertrain warranty, and 2 free scheduled maintenance.

TheWiseWolf 11-02-2017 09:35 AM

sighhh I been waiting for this sell to arise. I been checking dealers for the models and its getting lower and lower inventory. By the time it comes out I will probably have a bad few selections.

Check out autotrader. There is a dealer in Atlanta with 2017s that are 12-14k off the MSRP. You might find out they are stacking crazy rebates and the price won't hold up... or maybe you will get lucky. Loaded 2SS verts for 37-39k.
I found my RS that way and flew to Detroit to get it. Over 12k off of MSRP.

JLSuperfly 11-02-2017 03:36 PM

I have keeping an eye out local dealers since last year for the right color, options and of course, price. No dice so far.

dyter19 11-02-2017 06:30 PM

My dealer told me they could get the camaro I want. Msrp is about 48500. 2ss npp, 8 auto, magnetic ride. Offered it for 43,000 out the door sale tax included (6%). I don't know if that's good. I have 5665 in incentives. What does everyone else think. I believe car price is 40,500 before tax. So about 2350 in dealer negotiations.

I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on this, but I'd wait until Thanksgiving week, on a week night and deal direct with the dealer that has a car you're interested in. The end of the month, with the holiday & slower than normal sales, will allow you to have a decent amount of leverage to make a better deal, perhaps $10K off or more ( but that really depends on their their volume margins).

DrkPhx 11-02-2017 08:21 PM

The Camaro has a special incentive of $3,665 for 2017 SS models.

Also the GM loyalty program and if you are active duty military, retired, or Guard thats another discount on top of your best deal......

trm0002 11-08-2017 10:00 PM

I got $5500 off a $31k 1LT/RS for my kid a few weeks ago. Dealers will deal if they're decent. It's not 20% but it's damn close... That does include GMS.

mjk923 11-09-2017 06:29 AM

Autotrader

I bought my 2SS vert in October last year and got 27% off. If you check Autotrader you can see similar deals now.

cthompson07 11-09-2017 07:36 AM

Got my 2017 2lt RS (sticker 41k) for $34k last week, from a dealer in a small town in Virginia. There's also a dealer near Miami FL that is advertising 30% MSRP off 17s.

CruzySS 11-09-2017 07:56 AM

Seen a krypton green 2SS with msrp over 47k now on sale for $35k. There are very few deals out there tho!

Well, once again for yet another new incentive period there are no 20% off tags on any new Camaros for the month of December. It looks like employee pricing will be the incentive throughout the Chevrolet line this month, although it appears the $1500 loyalty rebate will still be a available to current Chevy owners. It looks like 20% off tags are no longer in the cards on new Camaros since production was reduced earlier this year.

Saw a commercial last night where Chevrolet is offering Employee Discount Pricing. It was not clear if it included EVERYTHING or if some models (Camaro, Corvette) were excluded. Might want to check that out. Employee Discount is a big deal. Especially if it can be combined with other offers.

90503 12-02-2017 09:56 AM

http://www.chevrolet.com/current-deals

The way I read it, employee pricing applies (approx. 10% off MSRP)...plus another 1500 "loyalty cash" (I think you need to be a current Camaro owner), puts it at roughly 12% off MSRP....No other offers apply, no combining other offers....only on 2017 SS Camaros...

...Good luck.
