DOT 4 Brake fluid
Any of you track rats switched to DOT4 fluid? Is it necessary in your opinion? Do you have problems prior and/or did you notice an increase in longevity in longer sessions?
|
Yes, switched to Castrol SRF.
Necessary in heavy cars like ours. |
If you are tracking, it is critical that you switch. Expensive brake fluid will be the cheapest insurance you'll ever buy.
especially if you have a ZL1 1LE. Castrol SRF, Brembo HTC64T or Endless RF-650. Read the track day prep in the owner's manual. |
Ditto. 100% required for track driving. Castrol SRF and Brembo HTC64T are two options I've used previously and both do well.

|

BREMBO HTC64T OR CASTROL SRF!!!! My local dealership switches mine out for me and only needs 1 Liter to make that happen. Like someone has already said.....it is the cheapest track insurance you will ever buy.
|
Motul BaRF (RBF?) 600 or 660
|
2 litres of 660 on the way. Thanks all for the input!

More importantly, my pedal became very spongy at times. Switching to Brembo HTC64 eliminated both spongy pedal and sweating, I know Motul makes high quality stuff but I would not use 660 again... Castrol or Brembo only IMO. |

I use SRF as when I was asking around alot of guys had problems with Motul and almost no bad reviews for the SRF and Brembo.
