Diy 15” conversion
1 Attachment(s)
I just finished my 15” conversion that I pieced together myself. I used a set of v6 rotors combined with 2016 ATS calipers. The calipers will require some grinding for clearance with the amount of grinding depending on wheel choice. Aftermarket toe arms will be required as well. Along with this you will need banjo bolts to fit the calipers to the factory lines. BMR toe arms, modified Cadillac ATS calipers, v6 rotors 12.4” diameter, jegs ssr vision 15x8” wheels, and hoosier 15x27x10.5 qtp’s.

how much was it for parts not counting the wheels and tires?
|
Got any pics of the calipers after the grinding?
|
Well just for informations sake - those calipers are the ones used in the GM kit, but they spec a 16" wheel. With the 16" wheels you can use the stock toe rods (the route I am probably going to go with)
LT1FTW - what actual version of the calipers did you use? Or the PN#? |
I used ACDelco GM OE Disc Brake Calipers 13584520 ordered from Summit.
|
Does that part number include both the left and right calipers? Also, do you use the ats Banjo bolt?
|
Yes you will need the ats banjo bolt. I used the same pn on both sides. You just have to bleed the the side with bottom positioned bleed screw using a hose connected pointed up 8-10 inches above the screw.

If anyone is interested in taking on this conversion check out Slowvert youtube channel. He has made a how to video on this.
