Transporting your ZL1 to the track

How do you do it?

Driving to the track?

Trailer? What truck do you use?

Trailer with a ford raptor

Enclosed trailer

When I finally get the zl1 1le I will trailer enclosed with an atc aluminum trailer pulled by a 2017 gmc 2500 all terrain diesel which is how it’s coming home since the roads aren’t great in nh yet and I will take it directly to the ppf installer.

Enclosed trailer is a really good idea.

I am looking at my options.

My girlfriend has a Toyota Highlander but it’s not strong enough.

Jspeed is that a 24ft enclosed? I'm looking at one of those now as I stay all weekend a lot of times at the track and feel my car is much safer. What brand do you go with? Are you using a winch since its so tight inside the trailer as it looks like you'd have to crawl out the window if you drive it in. I've been using an open trailer for years but I think its time for a change to an enclosed. I've been looking at the Stealth 24' Titan, no Rivets which is good since they have a tendency to start looking bad after a few years.

Drive it to and from! my trailer is AAA so far have not needed it

seanblurr 04-18-2018 07:14 AM

I have been driving it, but I may start using an aluminum open trailer depending on the track and what I want to bring.

Just drive it to and from the track. I drove the 2SS 1LE back from the track with metal on metal front brakes. its fine

Because racecar, 18ft steel deck with Etrack. 2017 5.7L 8speed RAM pulls down the road with the cruise set at 82mph just fine in 7th gear.

Same setup here, except wood deck and a Silverado 1500 5.3L...Also putting a winch on it.

Curious, what’s the difference?

with the straps crossed they are pulling into each other and it will keep it from moving. its possible for it to move left or right when pulling straight if the car bounces at all. Not saying it will but it can. Standard practice it to cross tie everything if possible.
