Average Wait Time
 

Hello fellow future Camaro owners. Does anyone know what the average time is from order placed to delivery? I ordered my Camaro on 9/6/21 and the status is still at 1100.

As you might know already, status code 1100 means your dealership did not get an allocation from GM… Unfortunately, unless they receive one, you might stay there literally forever :(

Once you get past that status code, it might still take 2-3 months until the car gets delivered to the dealership.

I would recommend you talk with your dealership, and ask them when they believe they will get an allocation. They won’t know for sure, but as it’s in big part based on previous Camaro sales, it would be good to ask how many they sold in the last couple years, for example.

I have been getting weekly status emails from GM. The last status I received was:

The vehicle order is in line to be built in the production plant however there is no Production date yet as to when it will be built.

Does this mean it received an allocation?

You can also look at the signatures on some of us and see how longs things took. So far, Camaro 1SS have had no issues with constraints and have been moving through Lansing well enough. It took me 5 months to go from placing the order to my car getting delivered to the dealership. I may/may not have been lucky with my allocation being picked up about a month after my order. Biggest hurdles are getting your order picked up by GM (getting past 1100 status) and having the patience to just wait for the car to be built and delivered.

I've been waiting since July 13th and still no allocation...so I just bought one from another dealer that's a 150 miles away from me..talk about being lucky.
It's in transit and haven't been accounted for yet. It has everything I have except red seat belts and I can put that in myself LOL...It feels surreal right now..I can't wait to see it.. its at 4B00 status..

Spoke to the dealer today and he said that there is nothing holding it up right now so hopefully it will be picked up soon for production.

Fingers crossed you see it by spring.

I'm just about 2 months in now. Was told GM accepted the order but as of yesterday I'm back to 1100 apparently due to the PDR constraint.

I’ve been waiting 8 months and 7 days since ordering a ZL1 convertible. Still at 3000 status.

Does it have the PDR? That's probably what's holding it up.
