Vehicle software updates
 

I just discovered this when trying to figure out why my accessories wouldn't turn off.

Our vehicle require Internet connectivity to download and install vehicle software updates. These are through the vehicle’s built-in 4G LTE connection, a secure Wi-Fi® hotspot, such as a mobile device hotspot, home network or public network.

2016 MY doesn't let you connect to a WiFi hotspot. So does that mean one has to pay for their LTE to get updates?

Yea. Connects to the house every day I park on the garage. Big brother is watching. What shall I do.

Crazy coincedence. . My radio kept staying on after I opened the door starting last week and I saw a software update pop up. I finally saw it again yesterday and clicked ok. It was sitting in my parking lot at work and completed. Now my radio shuts off again when I open the door.

my Silverado updated. now instead of saying Please say command it now says Command please like its been waiting and getting pissed.

Don't download it. It's the government tracking us!

Big Brother is watching.

Pull the negative off battery for ten min and reboot it.

Where exactly does the "update" show up?
