LT4 blower for SS...what else do I need?

Hi
First time poster here! Looking for insight on my build.

I have a 2017 SS with headers, high-flow cats and a tune. Its an Auto and currently making 439 HP 430 Torque after upgrades last summer.

Got a LT4 blower off a ZL1 locally and looking to get it installed this Spring. Here is what I have so far:

1. LT4 blower
2. High Pressure Fuel Pump
3. LT4 Injectors
4. Race Spark Plugs
5. RotoFab Big Gulp CAI
6. Lower Pulley
7. Tensioner
8. Wider Wheels (Haven't decided on which tires I want - Street only)
9. Ceramic Brake Pads

Am I missing any key items here? Sorry if this is a newbie type question but I have only owned the car for two years and this is a first V8 for me.

Tune will be done by the same place that did headers and cats last summer. Looking to add more punch off the line, not necessarily looking for more top speed or higher HP.

All suggestions welcome :happy0180:

You will need an LT4 to LT1 blower conversion kit from ADM or WeaponX or one of the other vendors. You will also either have to buy an LT4 intank fuel pump to run the stock LT4 pulley, or you will need to have a bigger pulley installed on the LT4 blower to lower the boost enough to meet the increased fuel demand.

Ok thanks, I have seen the WeaponX package online and will likely purchase it shortly.

What about a methanol injection kit? I had seen a poster mention it with his supercharger upgrade. Will post the link if I can find it again. Question is would the meth kit increase the lifespan of the engine or provide long term benefit with the SC on?

Meth should be a last resort means of increasing fuel demands. Some people use if to lower the temperature of the hot air entering the engine. Forget the meth and focus on supplying your engine with enough fuel for the goal you are trying to achieve.

You should do some searches on the topic as it's been covered extensively here recently.

Thanks! the shop I am working with had not mentioned that and wasn't on my radar...reading up on it now and will add it to the list of items to order.

You might want to do some extensive research and look for a shop that caters to the LT1 and LT4 platform and tuning. Take the car to the people who do this everyday for a living.

This would be the way I would do it using oem and better aftermarket parts like the Heat Exchanger, stewart pump, and larger 3 gallon plus reservoir by LPE. no need to pay the same prices for parts that don't perform as well.

LT4 SC pulley 2.7 - to 2.8 depending on fuel mods
12671006, 12687725, 12713718 LT4 Balancer (ATI ATI918856 & 916153)
12692675 Bracket for ZL1/CTS
12663624 Belt tensioner with 8 rib Zl1
12678515 8 rib Zl1 96mm pulley
12678295 8 rib ZL1 77mm pulley
12665845 8 rib smooth pulley ZL1
2x Bolt, Hex Flange, M10 x 100mm
2x Bolt, Hex Flange, M8 x 55mm
3x Bolt, Hex Flange, M8 x 40mm
ICT Billet 551590 LT1 to LT4 Adapter
37-1605 Edelbrock water pump harness that's activated by the evap solenoid
37-6619 Edelbrock Baro harness for the MAF/TMAP
PLM-HE-CH-CA-2017 PLM Intercooler
LPE L300227415 Bumper reservoir
E2512A Stewart EMP intercooler pump (1 inch so you will need 1 in to 3/4 fitting to reduce. however there will be no 5/8 fittings on the car since like the zl1 so you will be way better off.
12585673 LS3 front cover seal

The rest will be 3/4 hose plumbing maybe pick up some barb fittings 3/4 90s and 3/4 45s unless you want to source some pre-bent universal gates hoses found at any auto store that will let you go into the back to look. Use of the install directions from any big 3 aftermarket blower companies to help along the way.. you can make your own quick disconnect pcv fittings vs trying to use the oem stuff also Orileys usually has some make it your self fittings and hard hose to build your own tubes for the PCV.

Lt4 injectors
Lt4 pump
boosta pump or DSX would be nice extras.

The way things have gone up in prices lately you can get a used 2300 edelbrock or maggie cheaper now.

Thanks man, I already have the LT4 injectors and pump, just ordered these on Friday:

LT1 cylinder heads to LT4
Supercharger adapter plates -

LT4 Crank pulley bolt

LT4 Crank seal

Intercooler Coolant pump pigtail and relay kit

5/8 inch heater hose

Heater hose quick connects

Gonna be using a take-off LT4 blower off a local car with under 1000 KM. I am sure there is still somethings missing for a complete build but its coming along nicely.
