New to me 2021 ZL1 1LE

Hi All

After many months of lurking on this forum I finally found a ZL1 that met my criteria and where the dealer was willing to deal with me as I live in Dubai. Found this car in Canada, and as of now its halfway across the Atlantic en-route to Dubai on a container ship.

Question: is there any way of obtaining detailed service records? I see from the carfax that the car was serviced in Vancouver at a GM dealer 3x! https://ibb.co/fd76tXg <a href=https...ibb.co/Dk3P5QC

Awesome car, it will surely thank you for the climate change!

Your dealer should be able to run the VIN and see what service has been performed. If not, call the Vancouver dealer and ask them.

I sent the dealer in Vancouver a message, never responded. Maybe a phone call is in order.

The coolant tank is separated into two sections. The lower section of the coolant tank in the pictures is low/out of coolant.

Yes, I did spot that too. Funny how the car passed an inspection at the local GM dealer with flying colours. Other things I detected through pics is that it has Girodisk front discs, the wrong size Tyres 285 F 305 R Firestones and the struts have been rotated.

Also, from the picture it looks like a catch can in the front, possibly a mighty mouse?

That seems like a lot of snow for Dubai... ;)

Yeah, and a pic of the undercarriage revealed a white oil filter … it’s like playing a game, buying a car from across the world blind.

The nice thing is once, it’s in your hands you can make it proper. The catch can is not a bad thing for the supercharged engine, the white filter on the other hand is a different story. Stick with the factory filter with the proper bypass

Yeah I will change all fluids at the local GM dealer first thing when the car arrives at the beginning of March. It was serviced last October at 16k at Carter Burnaby but strangely seems to have a K&N oil filter. So I can only assume that was installed at the dealer with parts provided by the previous owner.

There’s also a brand new set of GY3R Tyres uninstalled inside the car:smiling1:

Bonus, it’s too bad they didn’t load it up with filters and fluids as well and because it’s a Canadian car you have to spell tyers tires :smiling1:

No such thing as a bonus when dealers are involved.:smiling1: I paid for the extra set of tyres as they are not available in Dubai and I wanted to experience the car with its OE tyres.

The OE tires are phenomenal! And on your pristine roads in Dubai with your average abiant temperature, they will be incredible! I’m envious

Do they have a reputable GM dealership that can actually perform the basic needs, unlike North America?
