If I go next year... I'd LIKE to do 2 days.

Price for 2-day listed here as $520 but $495 on the ticket site. Is that a presale price that will be changing at a certain date, or was it cheaper than expected? Sorry to ruin the party for anyone if the ticket site is wrong.

Any chance one of the days could be made a Sound DB Exception Day? Would be nice to let some open headers breathe and bark.

I know they do 8 exception days a year, and their website currently shows TBD for 2019.

I have an old ASA stock car I could bring, I had it there a couple years ago with bullet mufflers on it but can't remember if they were measuring DB for that first Camaro Fest in Bowling Green? It runs a whole lot better without mufflers, which also heat the interior the temperature of the sun on a hot day.

Russell,
the noise exception days are usually on race days where there are like 50 race cars out there at once. they still take sound readings those days. its the culmination of all those race cars out there at once that sometimes push the DB over the noise limits at the sound stations on the edges of the property.

Well, look who finally chimed in ;o). Mr. NMC!

OK thanks! I had my stock car there back at the first Camarofest a few years ago and did not hear any issue with the DB. So it might be OK as is with some bullet mufflers and inserts in the side exits. My exhaust exits the right side too, so that might help keep it away from the outside sound stations. I'm not sure if the BD limits have become more strict since that first BG Fest.

If a car is a bit too loud, do you think it's an immediate boot? Or do you get a chance to quiet it down?

JOHNSONROD 01-03-2019 05:19 PM

exiting out the right will be a huge help. they will give you a chance to fix it if your over. they have baffles and sound packing. if you tell them you have worked on it, they will let you go out and check it. if you dont tell them you want to check it, and your still over, they treat that as the 2nd and final strike. you will be out for that day but im thinking if you did something to try n fix it, they would let you go again the next day. just dont do the laguna lift and coast. they treat that as a strike if it happens more than once.
if your straight piped, id go ahead and do what you planned in advance.

:headbang:

That would be Thursday July 11th.

Moeman 01-09-2019 11:30 AM

I have 1car but 2 drivers. Is there a way to make that happen.?
1 driver on Wednesday and 1 driver on Thursday...
I want to drive 1 day AND drive the beech bend events.
The wife just wants to drive a track day.. Just a spectator bracelet for Friday and Saturday.
How would that package be bought?
Loved last year, already booked the host hotel for this year.
Thanks
