Aftermarket Hood Wrap pictures

Please post up your aftermarket hood wraps.

I am getting ready to replace mine with a Satin finish would love to see a few pictures.

Also I saw someone post a picture a while back with the 1LE logo under the wrap any instructions on how to achieve this???

Thanks guys

decal under the wrap itself

You lay down a 1LE in vinyl lettering, then when the final wrap goes on , heat causes vinyl to mold around it , so it looks like it’s bas relief (raised)…

I can post a pic of my hood later...beware satin will look funny at first as it has a lot more "glare" coming off of it compared to the factory matte wrap. A few weeks in I'm finally used to it but not sure I love it. I also had a local shop that I trusted (they did my XPEL) wrap my hood and didn't specify what material they used.....here I am a month later paying another shop to redo it in 3M 1080 because the satin I had applied was paper thin and already full of rock chips.

TLDR: make sure the shop installing your new wrap uses durable material

Here's mine before (left) and after (right) hood wrap replacement. New material is not vinyl. It's a matte film that protects against rock chips; similar material and thickness of normal clear film protection.

Me gusto. But those are very different lighting situations and angles.

Sorry, I didn't take the pictures to compare the hood wrap before and after. They were just what I had that is roughly the same angle.

Material is Stek DynoMatt. It is a paint protection film so will help with rock chips, etc. Here's what it looks like in a grey color on an Audi R8

Here is what my car looked like after I swapped out to a satin hood and also applied a satin roof. I think it's worth it.

Yep, It's held up well over the winter. If you are in the Metro Detroit area I'd recommend Midnight Tint and Vinyl. Chad has done all my vinyl work, xpel protection, and window tints and he is top notch!
