Flex Fuel Question
 

I've been a member for a few months now and haven't posted anything yet, I've been reading and learning as much as I can from you guys. My question is, I have a 2021 LT1, I have already added a Flex Fuel kit from Lethal Garage, a Rotofab CAI, an LT2 manifold and have purchased HP Tuners and the necessary credits to mod the ecu. I watched videos and have read posts about which basic settings in HP tuners to run on flex fuel. I went ahead and modified my tune to accommodate for the flex fuel sensor and have mostly been running on E85 since then and have seen really good SOTP gains. With the mods that I have done I have seen no adverse affects to how the car runs at all, however I want to know if I could be doing any damage by not getting it professionally tuned or am I ok to continue driving it like it is? I don't know enough about tuning to attempt any major changes myself, and can't find enough info out there to even try. I do still want to somewhat modify my exhaust and I am planning on purchasing an AEM wideband setup in the near future. Thanks for any feedback.

At the very least, get a wideband. AEM makes an HP Tuners compatible wideband that you can log with HP Tuners VCM scanner. If you want to get the most out of your mods, have it professionally tuned. There are little tricks with injector timing, torque command, and cam phasing that are good for a few HP.

Agreed, get a wideband. If I recall correctly I had to adjust the AFR table for the E85, and it's kinda nice to know what it's running at wide open throttle.

Pay close attention to your low side fuel pressure as well as your high side. In HPTuners it will show you this, and get a wideband for A/F.

His fuel pressures should be fine..NA LT1's can make upwards of 600whp on E85 with the stock fuel system. FI cars are a completely different ball game. I agree that a wideband is a good investment. Get a AEM 30-0334 and log in Lambda.
