SS M6 Diff Swap or gear set 4.10 s . Anyone done this yet?

I dont remember this really becoming a topic of discussion but would someone bring me up to speed, has this been done yet on the Gen6?

4.10 Stock vs power adder Durability? Db level at cruising / highway speeds

I have 4.11s in my chevelle, but thats a 12 bolt 4spd M22.

I talked 3 weeks ago to RPM Transmission, who has sold me my rear gears in my C6 Z06 Vettes and C5 Camaros, and they said that there are no 4.10 gears manufactured out there yet for the C6 Camaros. Stay Tuned!!

I'm definitely interested in a set of 4.10 gears.

Or anything......

Me too. I think that more gear will help us poor M6 folk. My 5th gen 1LE came with 3.91s with the exact same transmission and gears. 4th is way too high and keeps us slower than autos even though we put more power down.

Of course don't expect to keep 30+ mpg when cruising. But life is short. :)

I'd go for something around 3.90'ish if it was available.

Also looking for a lower set of rear gears for my '17 SS. I think a 4.11 will do great things for a manual car if you're staying naturally aspirated.

Of course it would require a tune to go with other changes and to maintain speedo accuracy, etc... and I'm gonna need something to optimize my CAI and a few other changes as they become available. So let's get busy aftermarket!

If we have the 8.6 differential than their is a 4:11 listed on Richmond Gears website

OEM is 3.73 so a 3.91 is not much of a change. 4.11 is the way to go.

I'm not sure either which size diff we have, but I had 3.73 Richmond's on my 2010 Gen5 and had no problems. Perhaps we can get some feed back and determine if these gears are compatible. I'd also be curious about price... the 3.73's were not as inexpensive as I would have liked, but you get what you pay for.

Anyone know what size differential on the 6th gen SS? Thanks-

I agree, with the same M6 transmission and gearing the 5th gen 1LE diff was 3.91. When I switched over to the 5th Gen ZL1 3.73 diff the car felt much more sluggish.

The CA6 SS is a bit overgreared to get the over 30 mpg highway numbers. :)

I also think 4.10/1 is the way to go as 4th still will have alot of room in the 1/4 and highway mpg will drop into the high 20s. Not so bad.

I would love a 4:10. Our gears are so f&%king tall!

I would trade some gear for a couple mpg drop all day long.
