Well today was fun.....

I've driven a ZL1, 2 different 2SS cars and one 1SS and one convertible(think 2SS).

Today I got to go test drive and play with a 1SS 1LE in crush orange.

I want one.... a lot.

Sadly it was 2019 and they aren't moving much on price out in my area. I like the 2020 front a lot better.

I need to get polebarn/garage up so I can just bite the bullet......

the SS 1LE is indeed a goldilock / Unicorn of a car.

It will happen!

Storage space be lacking. Large garage or polebarn is coming shortly. Once secured and a semi realistic time frame, car will get ordered(or someone cuts me that good of a deal on another)

I Have a 1LE and thought of moving into a ZL1 but have never driven one. Is there that much of a power difference between the two in normal street driving, I'm sure the zl1 pulls like a freight train up top but numbers seem pretty close 0-60 and cornering seems better in the 1le. Just wondering, I love my 1LE but 200 more hp sounds amazing!

Both cars are awesome. Ive never been a blower motor guy as I spent many years roadracing. With simple bolt-ons and not going into the motor you can easily add 100 plus horsepower to a 1LE. I just finshed my bolt-on project. I just prefer N/A engines. This change has made an enornmous difference in my 1LE. It is FAST! Now it is not quite as quick as a ZL1 but it is not that far behind either. 475 hp / 470 ft.lbs to the tire puts it right at 560hp to the crank. This was my goal to make it the perfect 1LE for me. Would I love to to have a manual ZL1 1LE? Who wouldnt! But I,m super pleased how this car performs and thought you might consider what can be done without breaking the bank and having to go into the motor. Just a thought.

What bolt in’s did you do to accomplish those numbers?

My plan was to not go into the motor so I installed the following: Gm CAI, 95mm throttlebody, Ported MSD airforce intake, Kooks 17/8 headers, secondary cat delete, AWE 31/2" catback touring exhaust with resonators, E85 kit , tuned by Late Model Performance Baltimore MD. Driving home to virginia it was interesting. It was cold! temps in the 30s. First through third was just blowing the tires off the car with any kind of throttle input over 3500 rpm. I had a chance to drive the car hard about a week later when the temps reached 60 and there was some heat in the pavement. The car runs SO strong!! Alec's tune is unbelievable. A fresh tank of E85 and I truly have my dream 1LE. Cant wait to get this to the track where I instruct and hammer it. Car is wicked! Power gains are everywhere but from 4000-6500 rpm the car is sick! That ported MSD seems to really be working there. Hope that helps.
