ZL1 1LE hood wrap

2 Attachment(s)
Hello all, my car has 1984 miles on it after 7 months, and as i got into the car today i noticed the hood wrap appears to be pulling up and peeling itself off. I only took pics on one side, but it is happening on both sides.

Anyone else notice this at the corners next to the carbon insert?

Thanks!

Use a blow dryer to heat up the area and iron it down with your finger. Should seal it back up well.

Awaiting the usual garbage answer of “take it to the dealer.”

If the adhesive is still good on the wrap you might 3m edge sealer in a pen or Rtape which is extremely thin dbl sided tape.

My wrap was very poorly done, Ended up having a local wrap company replace it.

Jeez, I haven't even looked close in that area. Now I'm scared to.

My man!

Why would you not take it to the dealer this would be covered under the 3 year 36000 mile basic warranty, my car is doing the exact same thing and I will have it redone at the end of the basic warranty for free through the dealer, my 2014 1LE also had a small area that was pulling up and I waited until the last months of the 3 year basic warranty to have it replaced for free

That's what a factory warranty is for correct? If your motor or trans blew up i'm assuming you wouldn't take it to the dealer either?

Vs. having it redone for free under factory warranty seems like a waste of money?

They do use a better wrap on the 2019's. Hopefully this will be a non-issue going forward.

That you all for the responses. It is still tacky on the backside, i applied pressure rolling it back... no luck. Im going to keep an eye on it and will take it to the dealer under warranty before the three year warranty expires. The post was party a heads up... i saw it, wanted to make sure those more skilled than me could potentially keep theirs in good shape should it happen to other cars.
