RaceChrono Pro Issues?
 

Anyone else here run the race chrono pro app? I've tried to use it twice now once at Daytona and once at Road Atlanta both times I had issues with the GPS tracking bugging out and therefore rendering the app useless.

I mount it to my windshield as seen in the video. My only guess is that the PDR system in the car is messing up the iphone 8 GPS.

Any ideas?

What are you using for a GPS signal?


Phones have a 1hz refresh rate.
Only picks up your location once a second.


I use the DUAL XGPS-160 which is a Bluetooth add-on that has 10hz refresh rate on GPS.


Helps time my laps more accurately.

I figured I could still get functional use out of the app without needing an external GPS. Honestly if the Camaro PDR system had the live lap time read out like the corvettes did I wouldn't need it.

I guess I just wasted the $19 on the app.
