So there is some info out there (with pics if you can find it) of the new LT7 coming out with the new mid engine C8 corvette, rumors are its a 5.5L twin turbo DOHC, and i hope its 4 valves per, is any one thinking its 800+HP.

Yes sir. First the LT5 and now this. The future of Chevy performance looks strong.

If that's true take my money now! I'm seriously considering getting a ZR1, but I might have to wait for the Mid-engine corvette.
Is the Mid-Engine corvette confirmed or still a rumor? Haven't had much time to check the forms lately. |

Smaller displacement, but supercharged AND turbo charged.
Small supercharger with CVT clutch, gives instant boost, while turbos spool up and then provide max boost. Also has electric motor assist - yes - hybrid. They may drive the supercharger with an electric motor, or possibly off the crank. LT7 C8 makes its car show debut Jan.2019 as a 2020 model. LT2 entry motor. http://www.speednik.com/files/2017/1...17-640x341.png Notice the Black Surburban right behind C8 - Pictures? They jump out and "neutralize" the situation. :suburban: http://www.speednik.com/files/2017/1...-2017-0014.png I'll have a 2020 Corvette, and a Big Mac with fries. http://www.speednik.com/files/2017/1...-2017-0015.png |
Yikes that just sounds like a lot of things that can go wrong...

Interesting also that an earlier leaked imagine show what looks like a NA LTx also. I'm certain we'll see a dual injection LT2 in the not to distant future. |
what are we guessing that will cost? $250,000??

The LT2 should be the debut C8 motor. I was hoping to see it in the 2019 Camaro refresh, but they'll probably save it for the 2020 Corvette launch. , |

I know there is an LT6 coming, but I thought they would go: LT1 LT2 LT3 normally aspirated LT4 LT5 LT6 LT7 forced induction But now, maybe not if LT6 is the entry C8 motor. Very interesting, and when LT is done - on to Twin Charged. Internal combustion engines going out with a BANG! Peaking right now. g |
