Mounting a MyLaps TR2 Transponder

Hello,

I just picked up a MyLaps TR2 Transponder for timing in my racing and competition events. I've just quick mounted it with some Zip Ties in the front grill, not crazy about it right now because the slats are horizontal and this wants to mount to vertical slats. For those of you who have mounted up a transponder, where did you mount it and any pix of your mount?

Thanks!

Almost every transponder I have seen are mounted inside windshield using suction mounts. (Like the RAM x-mount)

My understanding is most transponders work poorly if there is metal between it and the ground. That's why most people mount them on tow hooks or grilles about 24" off the ground.

My is on a 2018 SS 1LE. Looks like fewer options on the ZLE grill

Saw a ZLE with that same mount location this weekend at Sebring.
