Did you pay MSRP ??

Guys my buddy is looking to buy a 2LT '17 at one of the local Chev Dealership in Alberta. They are doing they are doing everything they can to sell at MSRP.

Is everyone paying MSRP or what???

2017 ZL1 purchased July 1st, paid MSRP -2500 in rebates and another -1000 in bonus cash vouchers.

I went for a price 3 month ago and the guy was giving me -600 msrp. But it was it's first proposal. I'm sure I could have gone lower.

I realize you guys are in Canada and it's not as easy to deal there, but MSRP on a leftover 2017 2LT is just plain NUTS! He would be nearly $20K or more upside down the second he drives off the lot. I bought my brand new 1LT in September after dealing hard, for nearly 43% off of MSRP with discounts and rebates. These cars depreciate rapidly so limit your losses as much as possible up front!

I'm kinda torn where I would like to know if a '17 2lt could be prided near a '18 1lt with few addons. Everywhere I went they seem to stick really hard to the msrp unfortunately.

MSRP?? WTF? For last years model.

NEVER!

Should be 4%-6% off MSRP plus whatever factory incentives if ordering NEW.

On AutoTrader there are a bunch of 2017 2LTs. Averaging $4000 off MSRP, some as high as $6000 - $10000 off MSRP.

Like this. A nice Krypton 2LT. $7500 off MSRP

If I lived in Canada I would be buying used if new cars including last years models sold at or near MSRP

Be careful this advertised price is for a cash payment. I have already asked the question multiple times and they stick to MSRP when you finance it.

These ad prices are really just bs to trap you.

I bought a 18 SS for 7500 under sticker. From rebates.

Sucks I can’t drive it lately though. The weather sucks near Chicago

Whitespeed 01-08-2018 09:56 PM

I got close to 4% off MSRP on a 2018 factory order, plus another $5000 in rebates.

Buddy just picked up a ZL1 for a little more than 8k below MSRP. And that was a 2018...

If you're paying MSRP you're doing it wrong.

Sounds like they're doing everything to rip your friend off. Time to laugh at them and walk out. Double time if they're trying to sell it to him for OVER MSRP.

Camarentino 01-09-2018 09:11 PM

I didn't even pay MSRP for a 2018 back in Nov '17 on a "rare" vehicle. Ask them if you qualify as a supplier. Depending on who you're employed with, you can get the vehicle at or near cost plus the incentives at the moment. I work for qualified company and got a smokin' deal. Worth a shot.

Camarentino 01-09-2018 09:12 PM

If all else fails, remind them that they are hurting for sales and can not play the same games that Audi and BMW can play lol

sdavis2702 01-09-2018 09:17 PM

I got my 2017 in December, 2 weeks ago. Definitely didn't pay MSRP. Got rebates so they could clear the 2017s out.
